Assistant Project Manager - Residential Remodeling

Rust Construction is a respected design-build remodeling company based in Alexandria, VA, serving clients throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. The company works on kitchens, bathrooms, additions, whole-home remodels, outdoor living spaces, and historic renovations.

Rust Construction is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support the production team across multiple residential remodeling projects. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow into project management and has the organization, communication, and computer skills needed to help keep projects on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with day-to-day project coordination
• Track project details, documentation, communications, and follow-up items
• Coordinate with internal team members, vendors, trade partners, and clients
• Prepare and organize written project updates, notes, and records
• Support scheduling, selections, project documentation, and administrative workflows
• Help keep production information accurate and accessible
• Learn the company's design-build remodeling process and project management systems

Qualifications

• Strong computer and administrative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong follow-through and attention to detail
• Ability to support multiple people, projects, and priorities
• Interest in remodeling, construction, architecture, design, or project management
• Professionalism when communicating with clients, vendors, and team members
• Previous experience as a project coordinator, project administrator, assistant project manager, or construction office coordinator is helpful
• Occasional visits to active residential remodeling job sites may be required 

Pay and Benefits

• Full-Time, W-2 Employment
• Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience.
